Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for the new AP&S and Union Hospital Wabash Valley Surgery Center located in Terre Haute, Indiana. This 30,000-square-foot facility features private patient rooms with large windows and quiet, sliding doors; six state-of-the-art operating rooms (with room for additional operating rooms in the future); larger waiting areas for family members; medical data imaging equipment and satellite radio. The center allows for easier access to operating room scheduling and more blocks of time for surgeons who are performing complex surgeries. There is the capacity to perform over 12,000 surgical cases and procedures per year in the surgery center. In addition, with an experienced staff base, a more comprehensive list of surgeries can be performed. Being located on the Union Hospital campus also allows physicians to use their time more efficiently and provides easier transfers between the hospital and the surgery center.
