Deaconess Aquatic Center

Garmong Construction served as Construction Manager for this new, 74,000-square-foot aquatic center, located in Gavin Park adjacent to historic Bosse Field. This project consisted of a “stretch 50” competition pool with 10 racing lanes, moveable bulkheads for multiple course configurations, (2) one-meter diving platforms, (2) three-meter diving platforms, a 5,000-square-foot indoor leisure pool, dedicated competition locker rooms and family locker rooms and seating capacity for 960 spectators. Current professional swimmer and 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist, and native of Evansville, Lilly King, has been involved in the early planning and design.
