In addition to student classrooms, infants and young children have dedicated rooms and a play area in a courtyard between the two schools. The building includes a metal roof which requires lower-maintenance and has a longer life expectancy than an asphalt-shingle roof. A secured hallway also connects the new school to the existing high school allowing Washington students to access the high school for classes, but high school students are not able to enter Washington. This project was completed for the 2010-2011 school year.
