Vigo County School Corporation
Terre Haute, Indiana
In 2004, Garmong completed a $35 million construction project for the Vigo County School Corporation consisting of three elementary schools: Fayette Elementary, Benjamin Franklin Elementary, and Sugar Creek Consolidated Elementary, built simultaneously within an 18-month period.
Garmong's responsibilities included pre-construction services, construction management services related to new construction, collaboration with the Owner in transitioning students to the new schools, demolition of the former and adjacent structures, and conversion of the former building sites to playground/green space upon completion of demolition activities. |

Carlisle Elementary/Junior High School
Carlisle, Indiana
Garmong was selected by Southwest School Corporation to serve as the Construction Manager. This included conducting the initial feasibility study, managing new construction and renovations for both Sullivan Middle School and Carlisle Elementary/Junior High School, and procuring and managing demolition of former structures.
Sullivan Middle School includes more than 100,000 square feet of new construction and Carlisle Elementary/Jr. High School contains over 15,000 square feet of renovations and new construction.

Woodrow Wilson Middle School
Terre Haute, Indiana
Garmong served as Construction Manager at Woodrow Wilson Middle School (WWMS) for the addition of a new auxiliary gymnasium, band room, two bathrooms and concession area, as well as conversion of the existing band room into a weight training and fitness area.
Unique to this project was WWMS’s status on the National Register of Historic Places. Recognizing the unique significance of the original structure, working with the Owner an designers, Garmong took extreme measures to assure installed stone and masonry materials utilized matched the original masonry features. |
